Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Blu Light Film and TV Academy when you use this website, create an account, apply to a program or pay for anything we offer. By paying, you accept them together with our Refund and Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy. We are based in Lagos, Nigeria, and Nigerian law governs these terms.

What we sell

• Online courses. Recorded video lessons with downloadable materials and assignments, watched on this website after you buy them.
• Programs, masterclasses and workshops. Taught sessions on published dates, in person in Lagos or live online, which you apply for and we confirm.
• Holiday camps. Young Kingdom Creators camps for ages 10 to 16, registered by a parent or guardian.

Every price is shown in Nigerian Naira on the page for that item before you pay. The price you see when you click to pay is the price you are charged. Nothing is added at checkout.

Getting access to what you paid for

Nothing we sell is posted or shipped. This is what happens after each kind of payment.

Online courses

• Access is immediate. As soon as Paystack confirms your payment, the course is added to your account and appears under "My learning" on your dashboard. You are sent back to a confirmation page on this site with your payment reference.
• A receipt goes to the email address on your account within minutes, showing the item, the amount and the reference.
• If the course has not appeared within an hour of a successful payment, email us with your reference and we will fix it the same working day. You are never asked to pay twice.
• Videos stream in your browser on any modern phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection. Materials attached to a module can be downloaded from that module while you are enrolled.
• Your access does not expire. You can rewatch a course for as long as it stays on the platform, and we give at least 90 days notice on your dashboard and by email before retiring one.
• The course is yours to watch, not to pass on. Do not share your login, record or download the videos, or use the materials to teach others without our written permission.

Programs, workshops and camps

• Your place is confirmed by email once we have accepted your application and received payment. That email gives the dates, the venue or meeting link, the times, and anything you need to bring.
• We send a reminder with the same details at least 3 days before the start.
• Where a program includes notes or recordings, they go on your dashboard during or after the sessions and stay there on the same terms as an online course.

Paying

Payments are taken by Paystack, which accepts Nigerian cards, bank transfer and USSD. We never see or store your card number. Each payment carries a reference beginning with BL-. Keep it, because it is how we find your order. A payment Paystack reports as failed or abandoned gives you no access and is not charged. If money left your account anyway, our Refund and Cancellation Policy covers it.

Refunds and cancellations

When you can cancel, what comes back to you and how long it takes are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. In short, an online course can be refunded within 7 days if you have completed no more than one module, a program place can be cancelled for a full refund 14 days or more before it starts, and a duplicate charge is always refunded in full.

Your account

Give us a real name and a working email address, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done from your account. We may suspend an account that shares logins, passes on course content, or is abusive to staff or other students. Where we do, any refund follows the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Ownership of content

Course videos, materials, scripts and everything else we publish belong to Blu Light or to the people who licensed it to us. Work you make during a program stays yours. By handing it in you let us view it for teaching and feedback, and we will ask before showing it publicly, for example in our gallery.

Young creators

A place on a Young Kingdom Creators program or camp is bought by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is the person we contact about attendance, health and collection.

Our responsibility

We will deliver what you paid for as described on the page you bought it from. If we cannot, your remedy is a refund under our Refund and Cancellation Policy, and what we owe you is capped at the amount you paid for that item. Nothing here takes away any right you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page. A purchase is governed by the terms published on the day you paid.
